Essential Delivery & Security. The security bundle. Everything in SDR, the full F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) delivery core, plus F5 Application Security Manager (ASM), also known as Advanced WAF. This is where you protect public-facing applications: WAF policy design and tuning, OWASP Top 10 coverage, bot and anomaly detection, and application-layer (L7) DDoS protection. Examples are illustrative, not a fixed menu.
Essential Delivery & Security
Examples grouped by type. These are real examples of the kind of work you can send: illustrative, not a fixed menu. If it is EDS-shaped work, it fits in your queue.
In practice, if the work lives in the System, Network or Local Traffic tab of the BIG-IP configuration utility, or in the Security tab under Application Security (ASM, WAF and Advanced WAF, aWAF), it belongs in your EDS queue. The examples below just show the shape of that work.
Everything in the SDR bundle: Local Traffic Manager delivery, platforms, AVR reporting and all the project and operational work that goes with it.
Build a WAF policy for an application from the ground up, tuned to how the app actually behaves rather than a generic template.
Map an application's exposure to the OWASP Top 10 and tune the policy so the real risks are covered without drowning the app in false positives.
Configure bot defence and behavioural anomaly detection to separate real users from automated abuse, credential stuffing and scraping.
Set up Advanced WAF behavioural L7 DDoS protection so the application stays up under application-layer flood and slow-attack conditions.
Move an existing ASM policy from transparent to blocking safely, staging signatures and watching for false positives.
Work through the false positives on one app's policy, deciding case by case what is legitimate traffic and what is an attack.
When something got through that the policy should have caught, we investigate why: which signatures, policy settings or enforcement gaps let it past, and tighten the policy so it cannot happen again.
Stage, review and enforce signature updates so new signatures never blindside production.
The shorter the commitment, the more flexible the price. The half-yearly rate is the standard, matching how F5 work is normally contracted.
| Monthly | Quarterly | Half-yearlystandard rate | Yearly | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EDSEssential Delivery & Security | £15,900 | £15,105 | £14,310 | £13,515 |
Guide price. Each monthly figure is the maximum: it assumes every billable day in a normal month is worked, about 22, at the equivalent day rate. Approxee bills per available day, so any week not worked is not charged; see the availability calendar. Prices in GBP, exclude VAT. Commit longer, pay less: 5% off quarterly, 10% off half-yearly, 15% off yearly.
